Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This experimental toothpaste formulation, developed by Haleon, contains 0.454% stannous fluoride (SnF2), 0.3% zinc chloride (ZnCl2), and 1% alumina (aluminum oxide). Stannous fluoride is a well-established antimicrobial and anti-caries agent that inhibits bacterial metabolism and plaque formation while strengthening tooth enamel. Zinc chloride serves as a supplemental antimicrobial agent and helps control oral malodor. Alumina is included as a mechanical abrasive to facilitate the removal of dental plaque and surface stains. The combination is specifically designed to improve gingival health and reduce plaque accumulation in individuals with mild to moderate plaque-induced gingivitis.
