STAT3decoy is a transcription factor decoy designed to inhibit the Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 (STAT3) signaling pathway, which is often constitutively activated in various cancers. By suppressing STAT3 downstream signaling and abrogating STAT3-mediated gene transcription, STAT3decoy aims to reduce tumor growth. It was developed by Olimmune Inc. and subsequently acquired by Scopus BioPharma on July 12, 2021, to be integrated into Scopus's immuno-oncology pipeline for the treatment of multiple cancers. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its ability to inhibit STAT3 signaling and tumor growth in squamous cell carcinoma models, with potential for enhanced delivery using ultrasound-targeted microbubble destruction.
