Stealth-1H is an oncolytic immunotherapy based on a genetically engineered herpes simplex virus, developed as a novel approach to cancer therapy. It is designed to selectively replicate within tumor cells and stimulate an anti-tumor immune response. Stealth-1H is specifically engineered to resist both innate and acquired anti-viral immune responses, enabling it to replicate, spread, and lyse tumor cells even in the presence of robust immune activity. This makes it distinct from other oncolytic viruses, particularly for use in combination with immunostimulatory agents such as anti-PD1/PDL1, OX40L, and ICOS-Ligand. The technology originated from research at NYU School of Medicine in the laboratory of Ian Mohr.
