Overview
Steamed ginger extract (GGE03; Zinoact) is a standardized botanical extract derived from *Zingiber officinale* (ginger) through a specialized high-temperature, high-pressure steam processing method. This process enriches the extract with 1-dehydro-6-gingerdione (GD), a thermally stable bioactive compound that is rare in raw ginger. Developed by Genencell in collaboration with 3H LABS Research Institute, GGE03 acts as a metabolic and inflammatory regulator by inhibiting the NF-κB signaling pathway and activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). It has been evaluated in clinical trials for its efficacy in reducing body weight and fat in overweight and obese individuals, as well as for treating functional dyspepsia and *Helicobacter pylori*-induced gastric conditions.
