Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Stefenac is a brand of analgesic and anti-inflammatory medications developed and marketed by Stevia Pharmaceuticals. The product line consists of several fixed-dose combination oral tablets primarily based on the active ingredient aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the phenylacetic acid class. Stefenac is utilized for the management of pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. The range includes Stefenac-P (aceclofenac combined with paracetamol), Stefenac-SP (aceclofenac and paracetamol with the proteolytic enzyme serratiopeptidase), and Stefenac-MR (aceclofenac and paracetamol with the skeletal muscle relaxant chlorzoxazone). These formulations are designed to provide synergistic effects for treating complex musculoskeletal pain, inflammation, and muscle spasms.
