Stemcelline Vial – UC Xeno-Free Mesenchymal cells is an umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell (UC-MSC) therapy developed by the Indian biotechnology company Stemcelline. The product is manufactured using xeno-free culture conditions to ensure high purity and reduce the risk of immunogenic reactions associated with animal-derived components. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of respiratory conditions, including bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The therapeutic mechanism is based on the innate ability of MSCs to migrate to damaged tissues and exert immunomodulatory and regenerative effects through the secretion of various paracrine factors, which help to mitigate inflammation and promote the repair of lung tissue.
