Stemform is an autologous cell therapy developed by the Danish tissue establishment Stemform. It consists of fat grafts enriched with ex vivo-expanded adipose-derived mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (ASCs). The process involves isolating ASCs from a patient's adipose tissue, expanding them in a laboratory to a concentration of at least 20 million cells per ml of fat, and mixing them with the patient's own lipoaspirate. This enriched graft is then injected for cosmetic breast augmentation (breast hypoplasia) or facial filling (facial aging). The therapy aims to improve fat graft retention and volume restoration; clinical trials have demonstrated retention rates of approximately 80%, significantly higher than conventional lipofilling.
