Stemsap-A is an extracellular vesicle-rich conditioned medium derived from human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs). Developed by the Japanese company S-AP, it is being investigated as a regenerative therapy for androgenetic alopecia (AGA). The product contains a concentrated secretome of growth factors, cytokines, and exosomes secreted by stem cells during the culture process. These bioactive components are thought to stimulate hair follicle regeneration, promote the transition of hair follicles from the telogen (resting) phase to the anagen (growth) phase, and improve the microenvironment of the scalp. Stemsap-A is administered via intradermal injections into the scalp, providing a cell-free alternative to direct stem cell transplantation while leveraging the paracrine signaling benefits of MSCs.
