Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Stillavit is a multi-component ophthalmic solution used as a tear substitute and corneal protector. It contains three active ingredients: sodium hyaluronate, sodium chondroitin sulfate, and dexpanthenol (provitamin B5). The combination is designed to moisturize, protect, and promote the healing of the ocular surface by stabilizing the precorneal tear film and supporting epithelial regeneration. Sodium hyaluronate and chondroitin sulfate provide lubrication and structural support, while dexpanthenol promotes metabolic processes and tissue repair. In clinical practice, Stillavit is used to treat dry eye syndrome and as a preoperative preparation for ophthalmic surgeries, such as glaucoma filtration surgery, to improve surgical outcomes by reducing postoperative intraocular pressure elevation and filtering bleb scarring.
