STINGVAX

STINGVAX is an experimental cancer vaccine platform that combines cyclic dinucleotide (CDN) ligands, which act as Stimulator of Interferon Genes (STING) agonists, with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF)-secreting cellular cancer vaccines (GVAX). By activating the STING pathway, the vaccine induces a robust type I interferon response and enhances the activation of dendritic cells and tumor antigen-specific CD8+ T cells. Research has shown that STINGVAX can upregulate PD-L1 in the tumor microenvironment, making it a potent candidate for combination therapy with PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint inhibitors, particularly in tumors resistant to monotherapy.
