Drug intelligence / Profile preview
STK-01 is a nanoparticle formulation of docetaxel, developed by Sitka Biopharma. It is designed as a lead product for the treatment of bladder cancer, specifically to overcome the poor absorption of existing intravesical chemotherapies. The drug is an HPG-docetaxel nanoparticle formulation, intended to improve the delivery and efficacy of docetaxel in difficult-to-penetrate tissues. Sitka Biopharma, a spin-out from the Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) and the University of British Columbia, is advancing STK-01 into Phase 1 clinical trials with partners like Cancer Research UK (CRUK).
