Overview

STK25 siRNA is a research-grade small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the STK25 gene (Serine/Threonine Kinase 25, also known as SOK1 or YSK1) through RNA interference (RNAi). STK25 is a Ste20-type kinase that plays a critical role in regulating lipid and glucose metabolism, inflammatory signaling, and cellular stress responses. In preclinical research, STK25 siRNA is utilized to investigate the kinase's involvement in metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), as well as its role in oncogenic pathways and atherosclerosis. It is primarily available as a laboratory reagent from various life science suppliers and is not currently being developed as a clinical therapeutic.
