STM-01 is an allogeneic cell therapy derived from neonatal cardiac progenitor cells (nCPCs), also referred to as neonatal mesenchymal stem cells (nMSCs). Developed by Secretome Therapeutics, it is designed to treat inflammatory cardiovascular diseases, specifically heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). The therapy functions by reducing systemic and local inflammation, inhibiting cardiac fibrosis, and promoting tissue repair. STM-01 has received FDA Fast Track designation for HFpEF and is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials (e.g., NCT06560762) to assess safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy via intravenous infusion.
