Overview

**STM-416** is SURGE Therapeutics' investigational intraoperative immunotherapy for recurrent high-grade non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. It is an injectable, biodegradable, extended-release hydrogel formulation containing **resiquimod**, a small-molecule Toll-like receptor 7 and Toll-like receptor 8 agonist. STM-416 is injected locally into the tumor-resection site during transurethral resection of bladder tumor to sustain local resiquimod exposure, stimulate innate immune cells, and promote antitumor immune responses intended to eliminate residual tumor cells and reduce post-surgical recurrence or progression. STM-416 is being evaluated in the first-in-human Phase 1/2a study NCT05710848.
