STNM01 is a synthetic RNA oligonucleotide (siRNA) that targets and represses carbohydrate sulfotransferase 15 (CHST15), an enzyme responsible for the synthesis of heavily sulfated matrix glycosaminoglycans involved in tumor proteoglycan synthesis and stromal remodeling. By inhibiting CHST15, STNM01 disrupts the tumor microenvironment, reduces immune suppression, and enhances infiltration of T lymphocytes into tumors. It has been investigated primarily as a locoregional therapy for unresectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) refractory to first-line chemotherapy, where it demonstrated increased tumor-infiltrating T cells and improved survival outcomes in early-phase clinical trials. Additionally, STNM01 has been studied in inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease[1][2][3][4][5][7].
