STP247G is an investigational RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutic developed using a proprietary GalNAc-conjugated delivery platform. It is designed to simultaneously target the messenger RNA (mRNA) of both TGF-β1 and COX-2, two key mediators involved in fibrotic and inflammatory pathways. By utilizing a dual-targeting siRNA approach, STP247G aims to achieve synergistic effects in reducing tissue fibrosis and inflammation. The GalNAc conjugation specifically directs the siRNA to hepatocytes via the asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR), making it particularly suitable for the treatment of liver-related diseases such as primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and potentially other liver fibrotic conditions.
