STP251G is a preclinical-stage siRNA therapeutic developed by Sirnaomics, utilizing the company's proprietary GalAhead (muRNA) platform. This platform employs GalNAc-conjugated miniaturized RNAi triggers to enable liver-specific delivery and gene silencing. STP251G is unique in its dual-targeting approach, designed to simultaneously silence the expression of APOC3 (Apolipoprotein C-III) and TMPRSS6 (Transmembrane Serine Protease 6). By targeting APOC3, the drug aims to treat hypertriglyceridemia by lowering plasma triglyceride levels. Simultaneously, by targeting TMPRSS6, it aims to treat hemochromatosis by increasing hepcidin expression to regulate iron homeostasis. The therapeutic is designed for subcutaneous administration.
