STP908 is an investigational RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutic developed by Sirnaomics, designed for the treatment of liver-related diseases including liver fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). It utilizes the company proprietary GalAhead platform, specifically the muRNA (multi-unit RNA) technology, which enables the simultaneous silencing of two distinct genetic targets within a single therapeutic entity. STP908 targets transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), both of which are critical mediators of inflammation and fibrogenesis in the liver. The molecule is conjugated with N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) to facilitate targeted delivery to hepatocytes via the asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR). This liver-specific delivery mechanism is intended to enhance therapeutic potency while minimizing systemic exposure and potential off-target effects.
