STR-0013

STR-0013 is a non-engineered, non-pathogenic oncolytic virus being developed by SATOR Therapeutics for the treatment of mesothelioma. It is part of a platform of nearly 30 viruses designed for systemic administration via intravenous (IV) injection, which allows the therapy to target both primary tumors and metastatic disease. The virus works by selectively infecting and lysing cancer cells, a process that subsequently triggers a natural, systemic immune response against the malignancy. STR-0013 is currently in the IND-enabling phase of development, with a specific focus on Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) requirements. Following its development for mesothelioma, the company plans to pursue the candidate for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme.
