Drug intelligence / Profile preview
STR-V003 is an mRNA vaccine developed for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection. It consists of messenger RNA encoding the RSV prefusion F (preF) protein, encapsulated within lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). The vaccine induces robust and lasting immune responses, including high levels of neutralizing antibodies against both RSV A and B subtypes, and significantly reduces viral loads in animal models. STR-V003 demonstrated a favorable safety profile in preclinical studies, without causing vaccine-enhanced disease. It is currently undergoing phase 1 clinical evaluation in healthy adults for its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity.
