Stravix is a structural placental allograft product composed of human umbilical tissue, specifically the amniotic and connective layers of the umbilical cord. It is available as a cryopreserved or lyopreserved (Stravix PL) tissue graft designed for use in wound care and surgical applications. The product retains native components such as collagen, hyaluronic acid-rich extracellular matrix, cytokines, fibroblasts, growth factors, viable endogenous mesenchymal stem cells, and epithelial cells. Blood vessels are removed to reduce immunogenicity while preserving biological activity. Stravix is used as a cover or wrap for acute and chronic wounds—including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries—as well as in surgical procedures involving tendon repair, nerve repair, bone coverage or soft tissue reinforcement. Its mechanism relies on providing a natural scaffold that supports cellular growth and tissue regeneration by maintaining the properties inherent to fresh placental tissues[2][3][4][5][7].
