Overview

Streptamer-selected multi-antigen specific T cells is an investigational adoptive cell therapy being developed by University Hospital Wuerzburg. The product consists of donor-derived CD8+ T cells selected using MHC-I Streptamer technology—reversible HLA/peptide multimers that allow for the isolation of antigen-specific T cells while maintaining their functional state by avoiding prolonged T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. This multi-antigen-specific product targets a broad range of biological markers, including viral antigens from cytomegalovirus (CMV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), and adenovirus, as well as tumor-associated antigens (TAA) and minor histocompatibility antigens (MiHA). It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial for adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in first complete remission following T cell-depleted allogeneic stem cell transplantation (TCD-alloSCT), with the aim of preventing viral infections and disease relapse while minimizing the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD).
