Overview

A probiotic combination consisting of three bacterial strains: *Streptococcus thermophilus*, *Lactobacillus acidophilus*, and *Bifidobacterium longum*. Primarily developed and marketed by Kibow Biotech under the brand name Renadyl, this formulation is designed to modulate the gut-kidney axis. The probiotics utilize uremic toxins—such as urea, uric acid, and creatinine—as nutrients for their growth within the gastrointestinal tract. These toxins are then eliminated through the stool, thereby reducing their concentration in the bloodstream. This mechanism is intended to delay the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and improve the quality of life for patients in early to late stages of kidney dysfunction. Additionally, the combination is used as a dietary supplement to maintain healthy gut microbiota, manage symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and support immune function.
