Drug intelligence / Profile preview
StrixNB is a veterinary oral care product developed by Kane Biotech and exclusively licensed to Dechra Veterinary Products for commercialization in North and South America. It is a patent-pending formulation designed to prevent and remove microbial biofilms associated with dental plaque, periodontal disease, and halitosis in pets, particularly dogs and cats. The product contains a synergistic combination of ingredients, including sodium citrate, citric acid, disodium EDTA, potassium benzoate, and zinc chloride, which provide antimicrobial and antibiofilm activity. Clinical studies have demonstrated that StrixNB reduces dental calculus formation in dogs by approximately 25% compared to control groups. It is available in multiple formulations, including a liquid water additive, powder, and spray.
