Drug intelligence / Profile preview
STRO-501 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting CD74, a protein highly expressed in B-cell malignancies. Developed by Sutro Biopharma using their proprietary XpressCF cell-free protein synthesis platform, the drug consists of a humanized anti-CD74 IgG1 antibody site-specifically conjugated to a maytansinoid payload via a non-cleavable linker. CD74 is rapidly internalized upon antibody binding, making it an ideal target for delivering cytotoxic agents directly into malignant cells. STRO-501 is primarily being investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
