StroMed + platelet rich plasma is a combination regenerative therapy that merges two distinct biologic modalities: - **StroMed** typically refers to a proprietary preparation of stromal vascular fraction (SVF) derived from adipose (fat) tissue. SVF contains a heterogeneous mix of cells including mesenchymal stem cells, endothelial progenitor cells, pericytes, and immune cells. These components are thought to contribute to tissue repair through paracrine signaling, immunomodulation, angiogenesis promotion, and direct differentiation into target tissues. - **Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)** is an autologous blood product created by centrifuging the patient’s own blood to concentrate platelets in the plasma. Platelets release growth factors and cytokines that stimulate healing responses in damaged tissues[1][2][5]. PRP is widely used for musculoskeletal injuries, osteoarthritis, wound healing support after trauma or surgery[1][2][6], as well as for dermatologic applications such as hair loss[2]. The combination aims to synergize the regenerative potential of both cell-based therapy (from SVF/StroMed) and growth factor–rich biologics (from PRP), potentially enhancing tissue repair beyond what either component achieves alone.
