Overview
Strontium acetate is a white solid compound of strontium that is soluble in water. It is primarily used in toothpastes at 8% concentration to reduce tooth sensitivity by blocking exposed dentine tubules. It may also have applications related to bone health, as strontium compounds generally promote bone formation by increasing osteoblast activity while reducing bone resorption by osteoclasts.
