Overview

Stryka 969-115 is an orally administered small molecule therapeutic being developed by Strykagen, originally discovered in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Reno, for the treatment of muscular dystrophies. The drug is designed to act as an enhancer of the α7β1 integrin heterodimer, increasing its expression in muscle cells. By upregulating α7β1 integrin, Stryka 969-115 aims to stabilize the myomatrix and compensate for the lack of functional dystrophin or laminin-211, thereby preventing muscle disease progression. It is currently in the discovery stage of development for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), Merosin-deficient congenital muscular dystrophy type 1A (MDC1A), and Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2I (LGMD2I).
