Overview

STSA-1005 is a monoclonal antibody developed as an antagonist of the granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor receptor (CSF-2R). Its primary mechanism of action is to block CSF-2R, thereby inhibiting signaling pathways involved in inflammatory and immune responses. The drug was initially developed by Staidson Biopharma and its subsidiary Staidson (Beijing) Biopharmaceuticals. It has been investigated for use in infectious diseases and respiratory diseases, with particular attention to COVID-19 as an inactive indication. Clinical development included single ascending dose studies in healthy adults to assess safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics via intravenous infusion[2][3][9]. As of May 2025, global development status for STSA-1005 is discontinued[3].
