Drug intelligence / Profile preview
STSP-0902 is a recombinant human nerve growth factor (NGF) Fc fusion protein developed by Staidson Beijing Biopharmaceuticals. It is designed to modulate the activity of NGF, primarily targeting the Tropomyosin receptor kinase A (TrkA) receptor pathway. Preclinical studies indicate that STSP-0902 can promote nerve growth, improve corneal integrity and nerve length in models of neurotrophic keratitis, and enhance corneal sensory sensitivity. Additionally, it has shown potential to reduce pain responses compared to wild-type human NGF and may have a prolonged half-life. The drug is being investigated for ophthalmic use (eye drops) in neurotrophic keratitis as well as for male infertility conditions such as asthenozoospermia and oligospermia[1][3][5].
