Drug intelligence / Profile preview
STUD 100 is a topical over-the-counter (OTC) desensitizing spray containing 9.6% w/w lidocaine, a small molecule local anesthetic. It is indicated for use as a male genital desensitizer to help delay ejaculation in cases of premature or over-rapid ejaculation. Developed and marketed by Key Pharmaceuticals and distributed by Pound International, the product works by temporarily blocking peripheral nerve sodium channels in the skin, thereby reducing tactile sensitivity of the penis. It is delivered via a metered pump spray and has been commercially available since 1970, complying with the FDA Monograph on Male Genital Desensitizers and regulated by the UK's Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
