STX1200 is a gene editing therapeutic candidate developed by Scribe Therapeutics targeting the LPA gene (Lipoprotein(a)). It is designed as a lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) modulator for the treatment of lipoprotein(a) hyperlipoproteinemia. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that STX1200 can achieve high-efficiency hepatocyte editing and substantially reduce serum Apo(a) protein levels (>90%) in transgenic mouse models. The drug utilizes lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery to target liver cells and has shown minimal off-target effects in primary human hepatocytes[1][5].
