Overview

STX2310 is a preclinical-stage drug developed by S1P Therapeutics for the treatment of acute kidney injury. It functions by targeting the sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) pathway, specifically by inhibiting SPNS2-dependent S1P transport. This mechanism aims to reshape S1P concentration gradients, thereby modulating S1P signaling to achieve anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic activities in kidney disease models, without the broad immunosuppressive effects and on-target toxicities (such as bradycardia) associated with S1P receptor modulators.
