Styphnolobium japonicum flower bud is a botanical ingredient derived from the *Styphnolobium japonicum* tree, also known as the Japanese pagoda tree or Chinese scholar tree, native to China. It is a fundamental herb in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is also marketed as a dietary supplement. The primary active constituents are flavonoids, including rutin, quercetin, sophoricoside, genistein, and kaempferol. Its pharmacological activities include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, and vascular-protective effects. It is traditionally used to treat a variety of conditions such as hemorrhoids, various bleeding disorders, hypertension, and inflammation.
