Subgam is a human normal immunoglobulin solution used for the treatment of primary immunodeficiency diseases (PID). It is administered subcutaneously and provides passive immunity by increasing IgG levels in the body. Subgam is produced from the plasma of human donors and contains IgG subclasses IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, and IgG4. It is not licensed for prophylactic use against hepatitis A, measles, or rubella, though it may be used for hepatitis A prophylaxis at higher doses.
