Sublingual monomeric allergoid is a chemically modified allergen preparation used for sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) in the treatment of allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis and mild asthma. The active ingredient consists of allergens that have been carbamylated to form "monomeric allergoids," which exhibit reduced IgE-binding activity (lower allergenicity) while retaining full immunogenicity. This modification aims to minimize the risk of adverse reactions while maintaining efficacy in inducing immune tolerance. The therapy is administered as orosoluble tablets or drops placed under the tongue, where they dissolve and are absorbed through the oral mucosa. Sublingual monomeric allergoids are primarily indicated for respiratory allergies caused by airborne allergens such as house dust mite, grass pollen, and other common environmental allergens. Clinical studies have demonstrated that this therapy is effective and well-tolerated in both adults and children[1][2][3][5][6][7].
