Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sudo Biosciences is developing a topical small-molecule inhibitor of Tyrosine Kinase 2 (TYK2) specifically for the treatment of various ophthalmological conditions. The drug is designed to target the TYK2 pseudokinase domain (JH2), which allows for high selectivity over other Janus kinases (JAKs). By inhibiting TYK2, the molecule modulates cytokine signaling pathways (such as IL-12, IL-23, and Type I interferons) that are key drivers of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. This program is currently in the preclinical discovery stage, and the company is actively seeking a partner for further development.
