Suke Ganmao

Suke Ganmao is an oral fixed-dose combination medication developed and manufactured by Dalian Aosen Pharmaceutical (and its subsidiary Dalian Mingsen Pharmaceutical) for the symptomatic relief of the common cold and influenza. The formulation typically consists of paracetamol (acetaminophen), amantadine hydrochloride, chlorpheniramine maleate, caffeine, and artificial bezoar. Paracetamol serves as an analgesic and antipyretic by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, while amantadine hydrochloride provides antiviral activity against influenza A viruses. Chlorpheniramine maleate acts as an H1-antihistamine to reduce nasal congestion and sneezing, and caffeine is included to counteract the sedative effects of the antihistamine and enhance the analgesic properties of paracetamol. Artificial bezoar is a traditional component used for its antipyretic and sedative effects. It is approved in China as an over-the-counter (OTC) treatment for respiratory symptoms including fever, headache, and sore throat.
