Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SULGEN is a brand name for a product line of sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) treatments developed and manufactured by ROXALL Medizin GmbH. [16, 18, 19] The products consist of native allergen extracts, derived from sources like pollen, mites, molds, or animal epithelia, formulated in a glycerin solution and administered as a sublingual spray. [20, 22] SULGEN is a form of allergen-specific immunotherapy designed to treat Type I allergic diseases, including allergic rhinitis and rhinoconjunctivitis. The therapy works by inducing immunological tolerance to the specific allergen, which can reduce or eliminate the allergic symptoms over time. [29] The product line includes various formulations targeting different allergens, with some in Phase 2/3 clinical development for indications such as birch and grass pollen allergies.
