Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This refers to a combination treatment regimen of two tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) - sunitinib and pazopanib. Both drugs are multi-targeted receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors that target vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR) and platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR), inhibiting angiogenesis. The combination has been studied in clinical trials but showed high incidence of high-grade toxicities, limiting its future development as a combination regimen.
