Sunvozertinib (DZD9008) is an oral, potent, irreversible, and selective EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) discovered by Dizal Pharmaceuticals. It is designed to target a wide spectrum of EGFR mutations, including exon 20 insertion mutations (EGFRexon20ins), while maintaining selectivity over wild-type EGFR. The combination of sunvozertinib and itraconazole specifically refers to a Phase 1 drug-drug interaction (DDI) study. In this study, itraconazole, a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor, is co-administered with sunvozertinib to evaluate its impact on the drug's pharmacokinetics and metabolic profile. Sunvozertinib has received Breakthrough Therapy Designation from the FDA and approval from the NMPA for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations following platinum-based chemotherapy.
