Super-Curcumin

Super-Curcumin is a proprietary dietary supplement formulation developed by American Finest Inc., consisting of a standardized extract of *Curcuma longa* known as Curcumin C3 Complex combined with BioPerine, a standardized extract of black pepper (*Piper nigrum*). Curcumin C3 Complex contains three main curcuminoids: curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, and bisdemethoxycurcumin. BioPerine contains piperine, which acts as a bioavailability enhancer by inhibiting metabolic pathways such as glucuronidation in the liver and intestinal wall, significantly increasing the systemic absorption of curcumin. Clinically, Super-Curcumin has been investigated as an adjunctive treatment for schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. Its therapeutic potential is attributed to its anti-inflammatory effects through the inhibition of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and its ability to act as an epigenetic modulator by inhibiting histone acetyltransferases.
