Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Super-repressor IκB-loaded exosomes** are an investigational exosome-based biologic developed by ILIAS Biologics that uses the company's EXPLOR platform to load exosomes with super-repressor IκB, a nondegradable mutant form of IκBα in which Ser32 and Ser36 are replaced with alanine. After intravenous or intraperitoneal administration, the exosome cargo is delivered intracellularly, where srIκB suppresses nuclear factor kappa B signaling by preventing NF-κB nuclear translocation, thereby reducing inflammatory gene expression. The program has been studied preclinically across inflammatory disease models including sepsis, rheumatoid arthritis, complex regional pain syndrome, kidney ischemia-reperfusion injury, alcohol-associated liver disease, biliary atresia-associated liver fibrosis, and age-related neuroinflammation.
