Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SuperNK is a patented immunotherapy developed by NKMAX that utilizes a novel culturing technology to mass-produce highly pure (95%) and highly cytotoxic natural killer (NK) cells. Unlike traditional NK cell therapies that primarily focus on proliferation using cytokines, SuperNK employs both cytotoxicity-enhancing and proliferating agents to generate large numbers of functionally superior NK cells. These autologous or allogeneic NK cells are expanded ex vivo and administered intravenously to patients, primarily for cancer immunotherapy. The therapy aims to overcome the limitations of existing NK cell therapies by improving purity, scalability, and anti-tumor efficacy. Preclinical studies have shown that SuperNK delays tumor growth and inhibits metastasis by directly killing cancer cells through innate immune mechanisms without requiring specific antigen recognition[1][2][3]. The product is currently being developed for oncology indications.
