SUPPLIVEN is an intravenous solution containing a mixture of trace elements (oligo-éléments) designed to provide essential micronutrients during parenteral nutrition when oral intake is not possible. It contains trace elements such as chromium chloride, copper chloride, ferrous chloride, manganese chloride, potassium iodide, sodium fluoride, sodium molybdate, sodium selenite, and zinc chloride in amounts similar to those absorbed from normal oral intake. The primary function of SUPPLIVEN is to maintain or restore normal nutritional status by supplying these essential trace elements. It does not have a pharmacodynamic effect beyond supporting physiological requirements for these nutrients. SUPPLIVEN is typically used alongside other components of parenteral nutrition such as proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, minerals (electrolytes), and vitamins. Developed and manufactured by Fresenius Kabi France, SUPPLIVEN is indicated for intravenous supply of trace elements during parenteral nutrition to cover basic or moderately increased needs.
