Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Supratinib is an amphiphilic molecular analogue of the MEK inhibitor selumetinib. It is structurally composed of selumetinib linked to a cholesterol-based tether, facilitating its assembly into stable supramolecular lipid bilayer nanoparticles. This design aims to enhance MEK-driven anti-cancer activity through improved delivery compared to the parent molecule. The therapeutic concept also suggests its potential for integration with immune checkpoint T cell activating biologics to further augment cancer immunotherapy.
