Overview

Suranix is a brand-name generic version of surafenib, a small molecule multikinase inhibitor. It is primarily used for the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), renal cell carcinoma (RCC), and differentiated thyroid carcinoma. Suranix works by inhibiting multiple receptor tyrosine kinases and serine/threonine kinases, including RAF kinases (C-RAF and B-RAF), vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, VEGFR-2, VEGFR-3), platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFR-β), KIT, and FLT-3. This dual mechanism targets both tumor cell proliferation and tumor angiogenesis. In the context of clinical research in Bangladesh, Suranix has been studied in combination with nutritional supplements like Oncoxin to evaluate its safety and efficacy in improving survival outcomes for HCC patients.
