Overview

Surufatinib + tislelizumab is an investigational combination therapy for advanced solid tumors. Surufatinib is a novel, oral small molecule angio-immuno kinase inhibitor that selectively inhibits the tyrosine kinase activity of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR), fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR), and colony stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF-1R). This results in inhibition of angiogenesis and modulation of tumor-associated macrophages, promoting immune response against tumor cells. Tislelizumab is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), blocking its interaction with PD-L1/PD-L2 to restore T-cell function and enhance anti-tumor immunity. The combination aims to leverage potential synergistic effects between antiangiogenic and immunotherapy mechanisms for improved efficacy in various cancers, including neuroendocrine tumors, colorectal cancer, small cell lung cancer, gastric cancer, and soft tissue sarcoma[2][4][8].
