Overview

Suvicitumab (SIM0235) is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor 2 (TNFR2), an immune checkpoint molecule highly expressed on regulatory T cells (Tregs) and certain tumor cells. Developed by Simcere Pharmaceutical, suvicitumab functions as a TNFR2 antagonist, blocking the TNF-alpha/TNFR2 signaling pathway to inhibit the suppressive function and proliferation of Tregs within the tumor microenvironment. Additionally, it may promote the depletion of TNFR2-positive cells via antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP). By reducing immune suppression, suvicitumab aims to restore anti-tumor T-cell activity. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for patients with advanced solid tumors, including colorectal cancer.
