Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SUVN-D1044 is a small molecule, non-brain penetrant 5-HT4 receptor agonist being developed by Suven Life Sciences for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. By selectively targeting 5-HT4 receptors in the periphery, the drug aims to enhance gastrointestinal motility and secretion without inducing central nervous system-related side effects. Following a successful pre-IND meeting with the FDA, the compound was slated to enter Phase 1 clinical trials in late 2023. Preliminary assessments, including in-vitro studies, pharmacokinetics, and safety profiles, have been completed to support its clinical advancement.
